To all you and especially to our marvellous Tex. The true is that PCLinuxOS is and still remain the most friendly-to-use and powerful Linux distro I know.īecause of this, I have to tell to all you, people, a great THANK YOU!. I’d like colored, but from available - Calibre - some icons are hardly recognizable. In options I’ve found Breeze (dark) makes them recognizable. For some reason default icon style results in icons barely recognizable.

My post is not to claim about some my problem, of course, but simply to try to give a my -very poor, I admit- contribute to the question of the "mouse themes" in PCLinuxOS. I like Linux based distros and dark themes. Im fairly new to libre office and just discovered that you can install theme/scheme. But I cannot be sure, of course: it is simply a my hypothesis. How to Install the BreezeDark theme/scheme. So, I suspect some inner problem related to relationship between the "Services System" and XFCE. This happens to me only for the XFCE desktop (not in other desktop, where the "oxygen white" theme appears without problem and remain stable for all the session). Of course, I simply click to "OK" without any change. Whit my little trick to go to "System Services" windows and click on the "OK" button, maybe, the "service" that before was not started, is started. I can suspect there is some "service" (about the mouse) that don't start when the System start and this is the reason I have the "adwaita" every time I start my computer. I have tried setting it to Breeze (light), going through customization and tweaking different settings but all it seems to do is change the toolbar, not the entire app suite.

I ignore the reason of this behaviour, but so is and doing the little "workaround" I've exposed here, I have solved my problem about the mouse theme. I can not work with it being so dark and much prefer LibreOffice being in the normal light theme. If I open the "Configure Your Computer" windows and go to open the "System" tab and, after, I open the "System Services" windows and, done this, I click on the "OK" button, suddenly my mouse become "oxygen white" and remain stable for all my work session. I also much like the idea of the welcome window (the one where You see recent documents, have access to the templates, and so on). I am very happy that I was able to dark-theme many areas of LibreOffice GUI (Windows). Only when I go to open some program (very few: Firefox, for example), my mouse become "oxygen white" -but only if the mouse is on the Firefox window!- and suddenly go back to "adwaita" theme in all other situations.Īfter some time I had to connive with the "adwaita" theme (I like dark themes for my desktop and dark backgrounds, so the "oxygen white" theme is perfect to use for my mouse!), I discovered a strange fact. It’s crucial for Me to apply a dark GUI wherever I can, due to my vision (pretty hard to handle anything bright). it don't appear (the mouse still remain the "default" "adwaita" theme at all.

In my PCLinixOS64 XFCE desktop, I prefer to use for my mouse the theme "oxygen white".
